Wow, this site is fantastic! I just learned that there is a 40th reunion comming up soon. Sorry I cannot make it, but wish all of you have a wonderful time.
After '68, I went to BC, then to UC Irvine in California and I've been in Southern California ever since. I've been married to another Physics major for 25 years and have 2 kids. My daughter just got married last month. I started a small company about 30 years ago and I've been strugling & enjoying ever since! (No retirement for a long while!) Does anybody have any info on Mr. Downing? May be Jim Watts, Smitty, Chris Sikes, Guzzy know where he is? I just want to let him know that Drafting and running have been integral part of my life and want to thank him. I ran about 5 half & full marathon and will try another half in Feb. (That's in between tennis & ping pong workout.) Well, 'hope to see you guys soon,,,may be @ 45th reunion??? 'Till then, stay healthy and enjoy life! Yoshi

I ran into Dave Ahern today who told me about this web site, and was thrilled to see so many names and photos of people from my Lexington life. I live in southeastern Vermont, where I run into Jim Woodbury and Dave Ahern occasionally. And Kathleen (Kandy) Dwyer lives in Vermont and we are still good friends. Would love to come to the 2008 reunion - if I am allowed in! (I did not graduate from Lexington High, but ended up going to Northfield Mt. Hermon School in W. Mass, at the same time Richie Herbold was there). I've been working as an occupational therapist in public schools, with kids with all kinds of disabilities. My kids are Alyse 20 and Shayna 23, one a dance and anthro major and the other a college grad living in Portland, Oregon. Both are redheads (genetically predisposed for this) and creative spirits. Life is good, most days...
Would love to hear from my Lexington classmates. Jean

Just updating my email... but I might as well entetain you with a story--enjoy!
At a Golf Club they had never played before, four friends met to play 18 holes…
One was a Doctor, a Lawyer, a clergyman, and an Engineer.
It was a beautiful warm day, bathed in bright sunlight, and they were having a wonderful time until they caught up with the foursome ahead of them. This other foursome was very slow, painfully slow. The four friends were becoming very irritable and angry. Finally a grounds keeper appeared and the 4 friends complained about the painfully slow group ahead of them.
They asked what gives? We spent good money to play here! Apologetically the grounds keeper explained:
Oh, that foursome is the Blind Firefighters! Some years ago they saved our clubhouse, but unfortunately due to the fire they we blinded. We really appreciated what they did for us, so we let them play for free whenever they like…
The clergyman was taken aback, oh my goodness he said, I am so sorry to hear that, maybe if I pray for them it will help to heal them.
The doctor responded similarly: Maybe there is something I can do for them, I know a world renowned eye specialist who owes me a favor.
The lawyer said: I wonder if the city has done everything it could have to prevent this— I may be able to get them some compensation.
The engineer, who was 1) highly focused, 2) task oriented, and 3) had been taught to think outside of the box, asked: Why can't they just play golf at night?

I have to say that if it wasn’t
for her interest in organizing the 1st Annual Holiday Reunion and the
wonderful website, perhaps we would not have had a 35th Reunion.
Carol deserves most of the credit for getting me/us motivated in getting
together with our classmates. Being able to set aside some time to reminisce
and reunite with old friends was great. I am looking forward to the 40th,
and I think the three of us made a pretty good team. Lynn thanks so much
for your expertise in leadership, work on prior reunions, and taking care
of the class fund. Hope our reunions will become better and grow larger
with every year. Lets keep spreading the word. Go, class of 68.
Thank you again Carol, for all the work you have done. You are appreciated
and loved. Thank you to everyone who came and showed interest in the reunion,
you have made it a pleasure and a success. To the people who have passed
on at so young an age, I pray for their souls. Especially to Jim Ferro,
(you are sorely missed). I know he was there. I believe that the people
who were able to talk, email, or see Jim the last few weeks before his
death, were truly blessed, you will have those memories forever. As we
were blessed seeing him at the annual Holiday Reunions. Take Care and

the memories keep coming back. It makes me sad that there are so many
gone and that only a few were close, Fred James and myself went into the
Army together back in 69. We went thru boot camp and advanced infantry
training. He went to Korea I to Nam. Paul Gilman, How the heck are you?

There are many things in my life
that have changed during the past decade. One significant event was the
departure of my (now ex-) wife, leaving me a single parent with three
teenagers to raise. What you may be asking, does that have to do with
the LHS reunion? Well, it sets the stage for the reason that I am unable
to attend the 35th reunion: I am getting married on the 29th of November
and will be spending that evening at my wedding reception, instead of
attending a reunion. You have my best wishes for a
good time and lots of memories for that night; I will be creating my own

Hello to all my friends from Class of
'68..It's been WAY too long and I should have written this long ago, but
here goes. I have lived in Winthrop, MA for the past 25 yrs. with my wonderful
wife Mary Ellen of almost 30 yrs. My daughter Hilary (18) is attending
Marian Court College and my son Jeremy (22) is going to Bunker Hill and
working for a local Day Care center. My oldest son Steven (27) is living
in East Boston with his girlfriend and their (our grandson) spectacular
little boy Ryan. He just turned two :) And last of all , my baby Tess,
she's a 9 yr old Golden Retriever and the best friend in the world !!!
I still work in East Boston with my dad in our family business( Al's Shoe
Store ). I'm happy to say that business is picking up ! We celebrated
our 79th year in business last September. Enough of the family..I'm upset
with myself for not keeping in touch with my friends since graduation.
I look at the pictures from the brunches you have had (it seems like they
fall on days when I can't make due to business). It will be very strange
to see my friends, even though I probably won't even recognize anyone.
Many changes. The 40 pounds I've added on since any of you who might remember
me certainly will make for a good laugh. There's one thing that will NEVER
change, THE MEMORIES..so many, most are good:) I wish I could list
them, but I'm sure you're bored enough. I will definately be at
the 35th Class Re-Union. I cant wait to reminese(never a great speller).
I've never stopped thinking of all my friends. Now it's time to start
all over again. Feel free to write to me -- I would love to hear from
anyone..! Be safe and healthy. Bob

Dave Sampson told me about this site about a year ago, but just recently
took a look. Nice work! A quick catch-up: left LHS, got a BA in philosophy
from Hobart. One of the last of the Viet Nam Era draftees - was medic
in the 1st Infantry. Got into computer programming. Married Ellen Sutcliffe
from Bayshore, Long Island. Have two boys: Mike 17 at Academy at Swift
River, and Matt 20, a sophomore at UVM. Live in Hamilton, MA. Have worked
for Fidelity Investments for 15 years. Currently do quantitative analysis
measuring things like direct marketing effectiveness. Keep in touch with
Don Bettencourt, Steve Sullivan, and Dave Sampson. Need to reconnect with
old buddy Cal Graham. Best to everyone!! Peter

I've Been down
in Sunny Florida since 1977 - hard to believe. Married with 3 dogs and
2 cats. no kids. Spend most of my free time volunteering for Springer
Spaniel Rescue , taking my dog to visit folks at Nursing Homes, still
doing artwork and trying to register voters! So stop laughing about Florida
elections! I'm working the polls at the November Gubernatorial election
so pray for me - no more dimpled chads! I will probably work for AT&T
Global Network until I'm 80, since I didn't start seriously working until
1982 - I took my retirement up front. Peace to all,

Hello
Everyone! Hope more than a few are hooking up to this site. Looking forward
to seeing lots of you guys in December. Ran into Jim Ferro this past summer
who put me in touch with Carol Bateson. She flew into Boston last week
and she and Trudy Busa drove up to meet me for lunch. We had the best
time catching up sharing our lives and remembering the "GOOD old
days". WE smiled, laughed, hugged, took pictures and promised not
to let too much time go by before we do this again. Well I would love
to chat. I'm living in Gloucester. Happy,Healthy.peaceful, and loving
life. Pixie

Hi Everybody! Just found this site -- I LOVED the photos. Have been in
Maine for 30 years, settling in the Waterville area about 20 years ago.
Work for Colby College in student counseling services - great job, with
marvelous colleagues. I enjoy village life in East Vassalboro, with house,
partner, ancient cat and new young dog. Would love to hear from people,
and hope to make one of the get-togethers. Jan

Greetings former
classmates! I missed this year's gathering as I was away. Really sorry
to have missed my Adams School chum Charlie Page. Hi Charlie! Stayed local
after graduation, but went to graduate school in Slippery Rock, PA. Taught
in the Lexington Schools for a few years and worked at Audubon's Drumlin
Farm before launching a career in training and development/human resources/consulting.
I still live in Lexington - the East End where I played with Annie McNamara,
Linda Potzka, Jackie Cavanaugh, Janet Carota, and Denise Cahill among
others. Our "secret" woods is now a playground, but the echoes of our
childhood are still there. Commute to Boston where I work as a Career
Consultant. Hope to see you at the next event. Happy Healthy and Peacefilled
2002. Elaine

"I
think it is wonderful that Carol and others have taken the time to create
and maintain this site. It is hard to imagine that it was so long ago
since we graduated. I guess some of our classmates have continued to age.
Well, I, for one have always stopped counting at 39. I travel all around
North America on business, but live in Acton, Mass with my wife and 2
kids. It is great to see the list of emails and try to remember who is
who and what various things I can remember about my classmates. I plan
to look at my schedule and see if I can arrange to be local for the upcoming
December
reunion. It would be great to see some old friends and acquaintances and
get caught up on the various adventures and accomplishments that classmates
have achieved in their lives.
I
would welcome emails from former classmates to see what has happened in
your life. Best of luck, success and good health to the entire Class of
1968 and your extended families.

"I love this website! It's great to read what everyone is doing!
I am living in Tewksbury, MA and have a great husband and two wonderful
stepdaughters! One is 18 and the other is 14. We are currently on the
college search! My mom and brother are still in Lexington so I am there
quite a bit. I have run in to a few classmates on my travels, but do miss
seeing everyone! I am eager to catch up at the next reunion! I'm currently
working for HP! With the events of the past month and the economy we are
hanging on by a thread! I did teach for about 10 years and still miss
working with kids. As I get older, (I know we're all older) I realize
that jobs need to be a happy place! By
the way, I ran in to our History Teacher about a month ago, who was out
here from California, Mary McConnon. I have passed the website on to her
as well! She has been traveling the world and is truly enjoying retirement!
Thanks to all who have created this great website. It's a really positive
way to stay connected to our roots!"Celia

"I thought I'd show my high-school-age
son something about my hometown, which he's only seen once (when he was
2) and was very pleased to find this great website. I've been in the Midwest
for 21 years, 19 of them in St. Paul-Minneapolis. What's it like? Here's
one example: no one here believes me when I tell them I went to Girl Scout
camp at Walden Pond. I do miss New England and especially the ocean.....
but this is quite a good place to live nevertheless. Governor Jesse keeps
things interesting(!). Andrea Bond is not too far from me in St. Paul
though I haven't seen her for quite awhile, and David Grayson lives in
Minneapolis. I think there's someone else out here from '68 but can't
remember (well after all, I just turned 51). I no longer have relatives
in Lexington and haven't visited recently, so it's nice to see the photos.
My kids and I sometimes travel to Mass. in the summer and I'd like to
show them the town for real one of these years. In light of the recent
events that have changed all of our lives forever, it seems even more
important to remember where we're from. Take care everyone, best wishes.

I'm alive and well and living in Calgry Alberta. In fact, I've been living

It's
good to see the internet has blossomed to include this site and others
like it to let everyone from past days find each other again. It was a
treat for me to attend the 20th reunion. I enjoyed meeting old friends
an classmates. It was unfortunate I was out of touch with either Jeanne
Joseph or Elaine Sullivan, who would have let me know about such matters.
Now, I'll just check this site and Classmates.com for upcoming reunions

a great idea! I am new to the e-mail circuit, I am loving it though. I
am still in Lexington. I have inherited the family farming business with
my two younger brothers. My husband also works at the farm. I have one
daughter 23yrs. old. She is a nanny in Concord. She has a boyfriend of
5 yrs. but no plans for marriage. I don't think I am ready to become a
grandma yet. I am still in touch with alot of classmates. Tom Rodgers
and Kathy Blake, trying to get them to invest in a computer; Carol Noonan
Whitehouse. I see alot of classmates about town and at the farm stand.
If anyone needs to find someone I could probably hook you up. I have been
spreading the word about this web page. Thanks Carol and Dawn. I am looking
for Judy Callahan Howard last info. I have is Palm Beach, Florida. I am
taking a computer course, which is fun learning all the short-cuts. Hope
we can get together in the warm months also. I would be glad to help out.

" Hello! Just a note to update our
classmates about a recent gathering on the Vineyard. Kathie Lima, Val
Westerlund, and Ann Degan Johnson fought their way through traffic and
storm to get to Martha's Vineyard for the weekend of April 1. Ellyn Baltz
could not make it. After Kathie was re-routed thru Hyannis due to fog
on the island, (two scary "fly by's" first!), we had a great time, had
dinner at The Black Dog tavern, bought Black Dog stuff, told stories old
and new, laughed an awful lot, and caught up on the last 30 years. Val's
sister, Elaine, joined us in the melee. Plans have been started for another
gathering in 2002, next time in Florida where the weather might be nicer!
